CCML, a company under the Government of Manipur, in its pursuit of establishing IT/ITES Industry in Manipur is setting up an IT/ITES Special Economic Zone at Mantripukhri, Imphal, the first of its kind in the North-East of India.

Development of the Processing Zone will provide ample built-up area for multiple businesses in the core IT and ITES industries. Including Hardware manufacturing

Hardware

Later Units in the Processing Zone will be prioritizing business units that focus on hardware manufacturing especially for the export market.

Capacity Building

The two training centers run by Tata Technologies & the KIIT MTI HUB are aimed at building the capacity of the human resources in the area through up skilling in IT and ITES industry.

Entrepreneurship

With the development of the processing zone and the support services from the NPZ, opportunity for Entrepreneurs to establish business units in the area.

Commercial Centre

Commercial businesses to support the Processing Zone will be erected including a hotel with restaurants, cafeteria, grocery stores, and other commercial properties.

Social Infrastructure

To support the workers in the Processing Zone, social infrastructure in the form of a Residential Complex, a Hotel, a hospital, and a Cultural & Recreational Centre is being built to provide Social Infrastructure

Information Technology

Special Economic Zone will be the Back bone of Digital Manipur

In 5 years, Manipur's ITSEZ will generate 11,000 direct jobs and 33,000 indirect jobs for the state.

The ITSEZ will potentially add 4,600 crores to Manipur's GDP

It will develop capacity building and entrepreneurship in state

Centre for Invention, Innovation, Incubation and Training (CIIIT)

Partner: TATA Technologies.

One-stop centre providing integrated technical training and skill development.

Focus on qualitative improvements in the field of engineering education and imparting hands on training to youth of Manipur to make them job-ready.

CIIIT to also support the youth of Manipur in prototyping, etc. for their start-ups.

The total investment of the project is envisaged at 200 Cr.

TATA Technology to also provide assistance of jobs to the trainees.

Manipur Technology Innovation – Hub (MTI-HUB)

Partner: Kalinga Institute of Industrial Training (KIIT).

Focus of the MTI-Hub is to support innovation and carry out strategic events and workshops to promote innovation and entrepreneurship.

Events like hackathon to be organised.

HCL Tech-Bee Program

Partner: HCL Technologies.

Students enrolled in the TechBee program is guaranteed a full-time job in HCL Technologies post successful completion of training.

Students can pursue graduation programs offered by Leading Universities while working with HCL Technologies.

A portion of the graduation fees will be funded by HCL.
